Fiona MacPherson – Veterinary Surgeon
Fiona graduated from the Dick Vet in Edinburgh and joined Kirkton Vets in 1990. Fiona has an interest in small animal medicine and sheep. In 2013 Fiona and her 80 year old father Alasdair successfully completed all Munros (Scottish Mountains over 3000 feet). In her spare time she enjoys going to the cinema, singing in a local choir and walking her bonnie Labrador Hollie.
David McLaren – Veterinary Surgeon
David graduated from the Dick Vet in Edinburgh in 1997. He enjoys farm work and small animal surgery. Time off work is mostly taken up with his young family.
Helen Salmon – Veterinary Surgeon
Helen graduated from the Dick Vet in Edinburgh in 1997. She has been with the practice since 2006 and has a wealth of veterinary knowledge. She balances work life with a busy family life, with 3 young children, a busy farmer husband and even busier black lab Tay.
Fiona Potts – Veterinary Surgeon
Fiona joined the practice in 2013 after graduating from the Dick Vet in Edinburgh. Originally from Troon in Ayrshire, she now lives with husband Iain in Glen Esk with several dogs, chickens and Harry Potts the cat.
Cameron Stewart – Veterinary Surgeon
Cameron graduated from the Dick Vet in Edinburgh in 2015, He worked in Methlick for a year before joining us in 2016. He enjoys the horse work in the practice and farm animal surgical procedures. At weekends he can be found hill walking with his energetic labrador Nevis.
Lindsey Baines – Veterinary Surgeon
Lindsey graduated in 2014 from University of Liege, in Belgium. She also has a masters in conservation and global wildlife health from Bristol University. In her spare time she enjoys walking, music and curling up with a good book and Nala the cat.
Doug Fraser – Veterinary Surgeon
Doug is from Newtonhill and graduated from Glasgow University in 2017. He enjoys all aspects of mixed practice. He spends time outside of work hillwalking, snowboarding, playing football, enjoying music and spending time with his dog Sulley.
Alice Lowry – Veterinary Surgeon
Alice graduated in 2017 from the Dick Vet in Edinburgh. Originally from Hampshire, she is now enjoying living in the Aberdeenshire countryside. Outside of work she enjoys horse riding, clay pigeon shooting and walking her young spaniel Tarn.
Emma Thomson – Veterinary Surgeon
Another Dick Vet graduate, Emma qualified in 2020 and joined Kirkton at the beginning of 2021. She grew up in Aberdeenshire and enjoys all the outdoor activities the area has to offer – from surfing to skiing.
Fiona Seivewright – Registered Veterinary Nurse
Fiona is our registered vet nurse, and has a certificate in emergency medicine. She previously worked at East Neuk vet clinic in Fife. She has 2 happy dogs Maisie and Lana. She lives in Fochabers with husband Brian.
Jean has been with Kirkton for over 25 years. She lives with husband Alan and their cats Lily, Bert and Sid, all rescue kittens. A lot of her spare time is spent pet sitting.
Lynne has been at Kirkton for many years since 1999. She enjoys spending time with husband Gav, daughter Abigail, and son Benjamin. She is also mum to Norman the cat.
Clare has many dogs at home and a keen interest in dog training and behaviour. She is North East coordinator for Second Chances German Shepherd rescue. She is married to Derek and has a son Harris.
Kirsty was Kirkton’s first Saturday girl in 2003. She came back to work at reception in 2017 and we love having her back. Her free time is mostly spent amusing her two children and trying to tire out her young Labrador Teddy!
